Screening and Dialogue

Videos

Following our training with the School of Slow Media to learn about Human-Centred Storytelling, our FLD Listeners went back into their communities in Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam to produce a short film on someone who inspired them. Having developed close relationships to them after listening to their thoughts and stories, the documentary production gave them a chance to bring their voices to the big screen.

In June 2019, Listeners returned to Phnom Penh to screen their mini-documentaries and engage with the audience members in an intimate conversation on minority issues. Minorities Across our Region showcased these films and brought us together across borders to better understand how minorities see themselves. This video shows the culmination of this work and how films and an event can can bring more diverse stories to ongoing dialogue.
