From December 9 – 11, 2017, 25 students from universities around Phnom Penh participated in WPM’s Gender and Peace Leadership Camp. They had a chance to not only develop new relationships with one another, but develop and expand on their ideas about gender issues within Cambodia.
WPM offered gender and peace leadership training to the participants, introducing gender education but also created a space for the participants to share their perspectives and experiences on the importance of learning about gender and gender issues. Each day began with morning yoga, then training, and finished with a camp fire where they could present dramas based on different gender dynamics, watch video presentations, and dance and sing.
