Nika is a shiatsu and Anma certified massage therapist, massage therapy center owner, master trainer, social enterprise leader, peacebuilder, and both a national and international advocate for the blind and visually impaired in Cambodia. She has been awarded numerous scholarships and awards to study massage therapy in Cambodia and Japan. Nika advocates for women with disabilities to enter the workforce by ensuring support and access are provided to overcome barriers. Over the years she has travelled the globe sharing her skills and experience with blind and visually impaired people, particularly in post-conflict contexts like South Sudan and Myanmar. She dedicates herself to capacity strengthening and fostering more opportunities for blind people worldwide. More recently, Nika established an NGO to train more visually impaired people in massage therapy in Cambodia. Nika represents women with disabilities at WPM and leads research and advocacy activities in projects about blind and visually impaired women. She is the author of Our Ability Beyond our Disability.
