Our Facilitative Listening Design listeners are coming from various ethnic groups in Cambodia. In spite of our ethnic differences, we are the same human being and together we are part of today’s Cambodian society.
Women Peace Makers works to support the empowerment of women and youth, transform conflict, and prevent violence, including gender based violence, by providing the tools and space for dialogue and deeper understanding about issues of gender and peace.
Women Peace Makers began as a youth and women led-peacebuilding network in 2000 and became an independent registered non-governmental organization in 2003. As a longstanding NGO working responsibly in Cambodia, WPM has developed its guiding principles over time through hard work and significant learning.
Today’s WPM is the culmination of over a decade and a half of action and learning in the field with a focus on three intersectional gender and peacebuilding thematic areas: gender and women issues, peace and conflict transformation, and youth empowerment.
